Guided by Spirit
Though I am a Reiki Master and have trained with many teachers, my most important teacher is Spirit.
I began practicing yoga and meditation in earnest in 2003. Since then, my path has taken me in many directions—all of which I have learned from.
I’m inspired by nature—From the microscopic to the multiverse. . . All the natural surroundings, molecules, minerals, plants, animals, phenomenon, et cetera that I know and love flavor my energy work and practice. I grew up in the greater Seattle area, and I feel a deep connection to our local flora, fauna, and geology.
I am descended in part from SE Asian healers and intuitives. I call upon this and other sources of ancestral knowledge in my life and work.
Previously, I studied to be a research scientist and worked in a neurobiology lab. While there are many things I believe that aren’t backed by current science, I still embrace the sciences and welcome their ways and wisdom.
I feel my mission in this life is to understand and help others to as well. The reason I choose to understand is so I may better embody love and compassion.
Truth be told, I do not consider myself to be a healer. What I am is a facilitator of healing. Ultimately, You Heal Yourself.
Likewise, I don't view myself a teacher but as a collaborator. I fundamentally believe that we can learn something from everyone. But it's up to us to try to learn. My aim is to help others direct their own inner-learning.
I believe that there is no such thing as a panacea. What works in one situation or for one person, might not work for another. "The dose makes the poison" as well as the cure, and how something is administered matters too.
I know that I am not infallible. So although I work with my intuition, I opt to incorporate other sources of wisdom. Chief among these is the wisdom that my clients bring. A good way for me to access that wisdom is by humbling myself and to sincerely listen.
I think it's critical to make sure my clients and I are a good fit. If a person doesn't feel that I am a good fit for them to work with, I ask that they respect that feeling. I am more than happy to suggest other professionals or resources to work with.
The work I am doing is strictly complementary in nature. It in no way replaces seeing a doctor, psychotherapist, or doing your own self-work.
I believe in doing things little by little. Achievements happen both gradually and all at once, but gradual work can create instant breakthroughs and helps with their integration.
I believe in the Light that You Are, in the Love that You Are, in the Strength that You Are, and the Gift that You Are. You Are Beautiful—I believe.
